Slikish, President EMS and Krayzietee supports Togetherness is the Key
Music from the Middle belt region is beginning to change phases as different artist are now calling on the fans to support them. Slikish, President EMS and Krayzietee recently hanged out together and they spoke about support.
Music is not a one man thing. A lot is involved and only one person cannot handle it alone. From creating ideas, to writing the song to the production, mixing and mastering to releasing, shooting a video, distributions and promotions, music is a very delicate, big business. Slikish, President EMS and Krayzietee confirmed this.
The fans play a very vital role in turning an upcoming artist into a world wide star. This is one fact so many artist are beginning to realise.
Slikish, President EMS and Krayzietee called on their fans to always share their works because it helps in promoting them and introducing them to more people to know and believe in their craft.
The stars you know today are who they are because they have a very supportive fan base. From 2baba, Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, Don Jazzy, Olamide, Tiwa Savage, Simi, Teni, Tems and so many others, you see their fans supporting them every where. The very day Wizkid Fc decides to turn their backs on Wizkid, so many things will go wrong in his career. These stars get endorsement deals, get booked for shows and are paid heavily for adverts because of the fan base and influence they have.
Recently, after Davido posted about Alat from Wema bank, they got more than 1 million application downloads on Google playstore. This is how powerful Davido’s fan base can be.
Artists from Middle belt also needs to be supported. They need more people to follow their social media handles, they need more people to stream their songs on digital platforms, they need more airplay on radio stations, they need more Deejays to promote their songs, they need more bloggers to talk about them, they need to reach more people, they need more dancers to make videos to their songs. This way, brands will take them more seriously and on the long run, they will make more money and their brands will continue to grow thereby making the middle belt region more popular in the entertainment industry.
Music is not rocket science. It is a gradual process that involves a lot and once we start to put all these processes in place, we will see a difference.
As an artist, brand yourself well, sell your best quality and watch a lot of things change once your fans promotes you. Your social media handles should not be left idle for a very long time. Fans use your social media to connect with you. Post very clean pictures with nice backgrounds, post high quality videos. You cannot be behaving regular and be expecting the best treat from your fans. Always look clean and kept when hanging out in public places, be polite and hire a manager. So many artist neglect a manager but they forget that so many of the background works are done by the managers. While you are in the studio creating music, you cannot be everywhere. Your manager takes charge and handles a lot for you even in your absence. Get a team for your brand. Even if you don’t have money to pay every one, get people that believes in your brand and work with them. Money has taken over the music business but there are few people out there who are still willing to support hard working artist. Connect with your fans, connect with Djs, connect with bloggers, connect with promoters, connect with producers, connect with dancers, connect with influencers and always be ready to promote yourself. Music deals with quality numbers and the quality numbers comes from the fans.
