For Reverse Osmosis membrane cleaning, there are certain chemicals used in running CIP, Caustic soda, Citric acid, STPP, HCL. For scale removal the alkaline is apply and run through the RO first before running the acid and STPP. The sequence of applications is follows, sock caustic soda in the membrane for 30mins then run for an hour, add citric acid and sock it for 30mins and run for an hour, add STPP sock for 30mins then run for an hour, finally add HCL sock for 30mins then run for an hour again the flush properly with water, thereafter you will change the semi membrane from the semi membrane casing and replace with new semi membrane filters.
