Kenneth Chigozie Michael, known professionally as Wax, is a rising Nigerian singer and songwriter. Born in Makurdi, Benue State, with roots tracing back to Umuahia, Abia State, Wax has demonstrated a deep passion for music since his early years.

Wax embarked on his musical journey in 2013 during his secondary school days, immersing himself in the sounds of renowned artists such as Wizkid, Davido, Olamide and Burna Boy. Recognizing the vibrant music scene in Lagos as a prime opportunity, Wax made the decision to relocate from Benue State to the bustling city in order to launch his music career.

In the early stages, Wax focused on creating compelling Street Pop songs, diligently composing and recording them in local studios within his neighborhood. He wasted no time in showcasing his talents at various events and music shows, captivating audiences with energetic performances of his notable tracks like “Below” “Doubt” and “Martha”. Wax also sought to further his exposure by actively participating in prestigious music competitions such as Tikky Starz and 9jatalenthunt, utilizing these platforms to amplify his presence and gain recognition within the vibrant underground music scene of Lagos.

Continuing his artistic evolution, Wax released a captivating new masterpiece titled “Scared“. A song that expresses his fear of living a life of poverty. As an ambitious and promising artist, Wax remains committed to nurturing his growing fan base and loyal supporters.
