CHARL OJAY Biography

Kator Orjime popularly known as “CHARL OJAY”aka “JAYDOLLAR” (born in Akpehe,Makurdi, Benue state on June 30, 1994) is a Nigerian singer-songwriter, musician, and Artist. He is regarded as one of the greatest songwriters of his time by his listeners, known for his poetic and socially conscious lyrics.

Early Life:
Charl Ojay grew up in Makurdi, Benue state, in a Christian family. He was exposed to music from an early age, listening to blues, Rap, and folk records. He began music at 14 and did his first band, Mount saint Michael’s All stars, in secondary school,Mount saint Michael’s Sec sch , Aliade , Benue state.
His early music influences were 50cent , Eminem, Lil Wayne, Ice Prince, MI , Jesse Jags and Tuface (2baba)

Career:
Charl Ojay moved to Abuja in 2019 where he became a key figure in the Rap/street gospel revival movement. His debut EP, “OJAYthaProphet,” was released in March 2024, but it was his first official single “C” that brought him widespread recognition.

His music is perceived as “street Gospel” addressing issues like Street violence, economic challenges,civil rights,war, and social justice, earning him the nickname,”The PROPHET moving PROPHETICALLY”.

He just kicked start his career in November,2003 after receiving a Prophecy in a vision to Lead his Tribe (TIV) to the promised Land . Charl Ojay has released an EP of five tracks titled “OJAYthaProphet’ and is all on music platforms worldwide.
He continued to
release a new music,titled “C” which is inspired by the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo,on all music platforms.

It is promised that He will continue inspiring generations of musicians and fans alike with his trilling soul touching music.
